International Blues Challenge to be hosted by the Detroit Blues Society in Commerce, MI.

On Friday, May 29, 2015, and Saturday, May 30, 2015, the Detroit Blues Society will be hosting the International Blues Challenge. The location of the International Blue Challenge will be in Commerce, Michigan at the entertainment venue, On the Dunes.

Friday night performances by world-renowned blues artist Laith Al-Saadi with special guest Twisted Root Revival, start at 8pm. Laith Al-Saadi was crowned “King of the Blues” for the Northern region of the United States by Guitar Center. This title makes him one of the top four blues guitarists in the country. He has even opened for many blues legends such as Buddy Guy, Luther Allison, and Son Seals, to name a few.

At 2pm on Saturday, the competition begins with performers Drug Store Cowboys, Big Smooth and the Hellraisers, Full Tilt Boogie Band, and Leonardo and the Doc Woodward Band. Besides the performances and competition, the event will also have vendor food and fun sporting games.
